It's been a little while now since Truthy moved Discourse Underground to our new home, so it's time to touch base with y'all.

What would you like to see more or less of on Discourse Underground?

Generally, I post the things I read. The publications I mostly read are The Guardian, The Conversation, The Intercept, POLITICO, The Hill and Roll Call.

Please feel free to suggest any publications that might be of interest to you.

Perhaps some of you may like to start a discussion here now and again, for which I am always grateful.

Interesting timing as I was thinking in contacting you about this just last week.
I was wondering about the theme of DU in that , is it meant to be about politics?
In which I've been trying to look for topics that try not to duplicate or compete with those over at AA. General topics or human interest stories that hopefully attract folks to participate?

I wasn't focusing much on the other channels as I was spending what little spare time I have on this channel, therefore it took me a while to notice that I have been duplicating AA's discussions quite often. DU had a lot of other moderators on Disqus and we all posted from different perspectives, so I think that the theme is kind of eclectic.

Due to my education and career choices during my working lifetime, my personal interest is international politics and how it impacts people in the places that they live. However, I don't want to drown people in the things that I like to read. I already know what interests me, so I suppose the purpose of this discussion was to find out what other people are interested in.

Yes, at times there is a lull in traffic on this channel, but that is not to say that I created this topic because I had concerns. After looking around a couple of days ago, it seemed to me that the other smaller channels are about the same. I am one mod and am not putting expectations on myself here. I had no idea that this is meant to be some kind of competition, other channels do what they want and if people want to join in here that's great, if not then that's fine too.

The claim we saw earlier that I make all the comments is not correct. Yes, I create the largest portion of topics here but there are a lot more comments than the number I have contributed. If we were to tally the mod comments from the other channels, AA aside, I am sure we would find a similar ratio. On the upside. This topic got a bit of a discussion going and attracted people who do use this channel and maybe even got some others thinking about posting topics themselves.

Do not threaten me, and do not write things that are untrue. You never apologised, rather you wrote that your comments are quite acceptable.
