Frequent Favorite Foods on the Friday NO PO Open Thread
These are pix of my favorite foods that I can't get enough of, and eat disproportionally more often than other options in their categories. Hot wings and City Chicken for the main course ( odd because I don't really like chicken, but, I do like hot sauce, of course I do love most pork, which is the city chicken. Mashed potatoes ( and also fried potatoes) are my favorite starch. Hard salami, butter beans, and beets ( out of the can, chilled) I eat for snacks actually, cauliflower, corn and green beans are my favorite dinner veggies. Raspberries are bu far my favorite fruit, though I love most berries, and cherries the most. I eat a lot of bananas because ...potassium...keep the cramping of my feet an dlegs at night from happening. So, what are some of your favorite goods that you never get tired of and eat often? PS: Butter Pecan Ice Cream and Cheetos and Susan L chocolates are favorite treats that are not good fo me...lol

I had a can of butter beans for supper last night. Lol
I am not a fussy eater. You know the old joke? I’m on a sea food diet? Anything I see , I eat that’s me
I don’t eat peanut butter ( unless it’s surrounded by chocolate) anything else is fair game

Food is wonderful and can be so many things. Food can be an adventure - exploring new foods and flavors. Can be a therapeutic distraction, a respite - get our minds off problems and a social place for gathering around; all aside of the pure fun just eating. That goes from junk food to the real stuff.
For me favorite number one would be some great mashed potatoes with real roast beef gravy over the top and I'm talking with shreds of the roast beef in the gravy

I don't care for gravy ( and most sauces) but, mashed potatoes are definitely comfort foodSlip Shod wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:30 pmFood is wonderful and can be so many things. Yikes, are you still having trouble?
The Dr's can't help?
While this isn't a good thing, some part of me right now wishes I had this issue..lol..though in my sense , in a year of sitting home and not moving much, I not only didn't gain any weight, I even lost a few pounds

I’m so sorry to hear you are having trouble
I had that happen about 15 years ago. I didn’t have time to go to the doctor so I just started taking the pink stuff your mother probably kept in her medicine cabinet. I carried the little pink pills with me.
That worked. I have no idea why. It might have been stress that caused my nausea/ lack of appetite but I don’t know for sure
I wish you all the best

I have ( and always shave had for years and years) persistent nausea and IBS issues and yet, it doesn't stop me from eating, even the foods I know make it worse...lol..so probably both my love of food and being somewhat of a masochist...( plus, I know, in my case the current stress makes it worse)
