Today the Texas legislature moved a bill to the House for a vote. The bill comes from the fourth successive Texas legislative session to make a point of targeting LGBTQ kids. It states that no transgender student may participate in school athletics in the gender with which they identify.

I have to ask: who knew, or even imagined, so many guys in Texas were willing to slice off their ‘equipment’ in order to win a trophy in women’s tennis? ROFL

The more significant question is this: we know natural males who engage in sports typically have a size-weight-etc advantage over natural females. So I can grasp preventing them from engaging in women’s sports events. But the other way? If a gal identifies as a male, and tries to compete there? You don’t need to enact legislation to prevent that; for the same reason listed above, the gal-male will not be competitive.

Of course now the classic SNL skit with Belushi is rolling in my mind, where Laraine Newman plays a man who turned woman. And they ask her about her future, and she lists all the lofty objectives she has. They then turn to John Belushi, who plays a woman-turned-man, and ask about his objectives:
“I just wanna pork as many broads as I can”
