So, I have this date tomorrow, and since he knows my real whole name I suspect he googled me because he hasn't asked for directions, and it is coming up pretty soon, and I know I am on real estate sites because I own my condo...and maybe he even checked out the pix of me that are out there, because he hasn't asked for a pic either, in fact the only thing he has asked is would I be willing to meet and what kind of restaurants do I like...and which one should we go to...kinda mysterious...

But, I guess that is intriguing...lol..so, anyway I haven't been on a real date in about 14 years and I am nervous as hell, and at the same time I feel like a teenager...butterflies in stomach etc, but, I don't know a lot about him, he probably knows more about me, from my posts and that piece, and I am becoming pretty sure he googled and could find some things... must have been too bad unless he is going to stand me up or change his mind...though he did say he was buying...lol...called him a gentleman...so, anyway, this long rambling is because I am nervous..any advice, suggestions? ( I am also disappointed the woman who does my hair doesn't work Saturdays anymore, and I guess un-dolled up will have to do...help...lol

My mother always made sure she took his license plate number, make, year and model of car. She wrote it down in case she needed to call the cops lol. She was a tad overprotective.

I haven't been on a first date in over 43 years. We already knew each other from work, knew what we looked like, how we dressed, how we spoke and interacted with others. So, the first date was the first time we had been together without others. It was simple, an afternoon soft drink together, curiosity driven chit chat.
I asked her out for a second date for the following weekend, but she told me that she and her family were going out of town to visit a sister.
No cell phones back then.
I called her after she got back, we talked, saw each other at work the following week and then went to a movie with each other the following Friday night.
Must've gone well, because 10 months later, we got married, been married ever since - 42 years now.

There was a gal who I pissed off, because I failed to phone her after the first date…. to which she had asked me. I did not ask her. Somehow, I’m still with that woman (my wife) 31 years later. Go figure.
