Infrastructure bill finally passed the house. It passed the senate in August, but Pelosi is so old and decrepit and scatterbrained, she couldn't get it through the house until after democrats witnessed the debacle in the Virginia election.
Now, finally, Biden has and accomplishment he and democrats can run on, reps and senators in 2022 and Biden in 2024.
Pelosi needs to head to the exits - retire - both she and Schumer. Time for new and dynamic leadership among democrats in both the house and the senate.

Rumor has It 13 Republicans in the House and 17 in the Senate jumped ship - 6 Dems in House = no.
As for the Republicans who went rogue, I do believe there will be a price toupee
And Pelosi still has problems pulling the team together . "let's go Brandon"

13 GOP in the house, 19 GOP in the senate.
Infrastructure is bi-partisan, benefitting both democrat and GOP states and districts.
Pelosi could have brought the bill to the floor in August, just after it passed the senate on Aug. 11, and had it pass the house with bi-partisan support.
It might have made the November 2021 elections more favorable for democrats.
Even Biden said so the other day when he got back for the enviro-conference.
Pelosi is way out of date, no longer effective, long overdue for retirement.
I don't think she can be re-elected as SOH next time.

GQP sandbagged til after the election. Right after the election. Because they knew it would bear fruit in the election. Then they get to go to their constituents in 2022 and say they brought home the bacon…. They are having their cake and eating it too.
In WSJ today, a feature on toxic positivity. They are saying it’s healthier to acknowledge issues than to try to sweep them under the rug with a happy face. Highly ironic, given the rag’s incessant bludgeoning of all who have been sounding the sirens on racial injustice.

GOP had nothing to do with the bill being delayed for a vote until after the election.Mike wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 12:57 amGQP sandbagged til after the election. Right after the election. It passed the senate in August with all democrats, 2 independents and 19 GOP senators voting for it and sent it to the house.
It was Pelosi and 8 moderate democrats and a handful of progressive ones that bickered over the budget bill that they wanted to vote for at the same time they voted for infrastructure and therefore delayed the infrastructure vote.
GOP in the house had absolutely nothing to do with the delay.
Pelosi is incompetent. She scheduled a vote on it over a month ago, but couldn't get democrats in the HOR in line to vote for it. There were always GOP representatives that were going to vote for it, but she wanted a unanimous democrat support, which she didn't even get yesterday.
Apparently, you haven't been paying attention . . .

Schumer just had a pretty big win. Not in the senate or anything, but apparently he renegotiated yellow cab medallions in NYC and potentially saved that labor force (at least stymied their years of protests for another few years until uber and lyft get driverless fleets)Senor Natural wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 4:24 pmInfrastructure bill finally passed the house.
