Wild rice is better for you, but white isn't bad for you either...I like both, probably wild rice a tad better, though I don't get to have it often. I admit I make Minute Rice, the lazy way ( though probably like the regular way better, just more work), we buy packages of wild rice...and since I got the rice cooker they come out perfectly every time, one of the best kitchen things I have ever bought.

I love white rice. Just plain white rice.
But I can't really have it anymore because of its terrible glycemic index. "Converted rice" (like "Uncle Ben's) is better, and I treat myself to it once in a great while. Converted rice is also called "parboiled rice" and is just brown rice that has been cooked in a pressure cooker before it has been hulled to create "white" rice. It cooks mostly like white rice and has a slightly odd flavor but not an off-putting one.

White rice isn't good for you. It's basically empty calories with very little nutrition. The "enriched" on the label is the producer trying to add some of the back. Its also a simple carbs which plays hell on your blood sugar. I do love it, but I try to eat it in moderation.
Wild rice is also good, but very high in calories. Much better for you though.

Brown rice, occasionally wild rice, but real wild rice is expensive and hard to come by.
White rice is nutritionally devoid, just fluff, filler for the ultra-poor in most of the world, akin to white bread and mashed potatoes, all converted to sugar by the body, and if not used by hard work or hyperactivity, becomes fat.
