Today is National Survived Cancer Day

Post by Z is for Zangie » Sun Jun 05, 2022 1:59 pm

As one who did, I am happy to acknowledge it, while still feeling sad about those who don't ( some survivors guilt there). I hope for better cures as science advances so no one has to go through that or succumb. ( One pet peeve: when looking for memes for this topic, overwhelmingly they were about breast cancer...all cancer is bad, but as someone who had a different kind ( Hodgkin's Disease), it annoys me that that one gets a whole month, a lot more publicity and all the attention, and I sometimes suspect it has more to do with something other than just cancer. Also, the one about being sexy, no longer applies, ( though that one was made by the Lymphoma group) I wish they had had that one when I was going through chemo, being bald actually wasn't a bad look on me...lol
