Not really much in the news today, except for a couple more deadly shootings. It's getting to be not worth the time of the news media. Another day, another shooting. About as interesting as reporting on traffic jams.

The good news is the Depp-Heard trial is over so we won't have to be assaulted by those headlines anymore. Now if we can just get past the Queen's Silver Jubilee we can get back to the normal Ukraine news.

Yep. Shootings have been normalized. Note on the cartoon: I’ve always loved when adverts contain a line like “offer not available everywhere”. What better bait-and-switch, with the disclaimer that everywhere you go the offer is not available? lol

The Uvalde story changed yet again. Now it seems the door thru which the gunman entered was not propped open by a teacher using a rock. Which of course destroys yet another of the GOP’s it’s not the guns, it’s everything but the guns BS. This stuff was blurted out loud by so many of them. Fox ‘news’ has been full of it (see what I did there), as has Texas Lt.Gov Dan Patrick.

Now the Uvalde authorities, after needlessly ruining the life of that teacher, are saying the door was closed but for some reason did not lock.
Wonder what they will try to claim next.
