I want to know why my work is blocking cat videos.
The funny thing is, there are no cats on the show! (or rarely.) It's a British combination chat-show/game-show. Basically they took the old British game show "countdown" and combined it with the comedian panel show "8 out of 10 Cats." A good half of the show is just the comedians being silly.
We block most common VPNs here too. Besides I don't want to circumvent the security here. If I really wanted to see it I could just pull it up on my phone.
I've been watching tons of 8 out of 10 Cats do Countdown on YouTube. Maybe that would cheer you up.

My VPN is strangely variable. Some sites block it (most do not) but only if I choose specific locations. The Seattle one is the most accepted, but it's also the least reliable. Unfortunately most of its overseas locations are blacklisted, which kinda sucks. But it's fairly cheap and I haven't done the research to find a better one.
