Funky is often associated with Disco and that era...and the spinning crystal disco ball on the ceiling. I love to dance and regularly went to a place locally that was exactly that.
I don't think I have ever had Apple Betty (I have never heard of it) but, it looks a lot like Dutch Apple pie which I love...
