Mulligan is mostly used in golf, but, it can mean the chance to "do-over" something in any situation...what would you do over if you could? There are many in my life, especially when I was much younger...but, I would say getting married and not pursuing going to University would be two of the most important.
On October 16th, 1937, Hewey Dewey & Louie made their first appearance in a comic strip. ( I just noticed on the site they list a lot of on-this-day stuff, and I may use some of that too now, especially as there are a lot of repeats in "day of", and stuff that isn't so interesting or relevant...)
