Counting odds, with licked fingers
depending on what you figure
reading pages, mocking sages
burning them for the flagrance
holding back only
long enough
with a bag of peanuts
to feed the pigeons till
they hop within your grasp
GOTCHA
Little Lies in Big Replies
not one word
passes your lips
Five hundred words or less
enough to tax one's patience
One phrase
two
three and a quarter
withdrawing interest from the queue
And sooner
and later
the Alligator's
lunch drops from many to few
to count it's blessings before
Dinner is due...…………
So return to thy bridge
and throw back th' covers
toss thy mattress aside.....
An' count thy coins
and decide
whether which pony to ride
to win.

Re: NUMEROLOGY
Impassioned, but there's a deleterious feel to it and I sense some impatience. Why must things be this or that ? Stone is cold
One reason I like poetry is because it isn't this or that and can be taken different ways

Re: NUMEROLOGY
Well, we do live in a world of this and/or that. That's kind of a blessing, I think. The liberty of choice is as much a right, as it is a luxury.
i like what you said about poetry being taken different ways. A lot of this and thats about, yar?
