Never knew I could write Poems.

Post by Cat's Paw » Fri Oct 22, 2021 12:01 pm

It was so funny.
They were filming the end of a murder
in a city street at night

in front of an open bar.
Shreveport. It was New Orleans style, with balcony overhead.
and people up there drinking and laughing for real, and

Un-aware of the film activity below, on the street.
Police were there as I've said
and the special effects people positioned the lights

and the "broken glass", and "blood"
they positioned the actor on the ground, and people upstairs began to show interest.
Then we got the actors in position,

and put all the hardware and junk back in the FX truck (an old ambulance)
Some drunk came out of the bar, and took it all in.
The scene of a fatal accident w/ cops, and blood, bystanders and ambulance!

and a dead body bathed in light and covered in blood.

"Oh Shit!" he cried.
I grabbed the guy by the arm and explained what was going on.
He became fascinated and went right back into the bar, though.

I wondered where he went.
People upstairs were watching, and activity on the set resumed.
a moment later, the same guy comes out of the bar,

but now he's got a friend in tow, who takes in the scene of a fatal accident
"Oh Shit!" he cried.
It did look very realistic.

The two guys turned together and went back in, and
they bring out another "chump".
who would see a murder scene, and freak out

and cry "Oh Shit!"
Over again, and over and over again.
WE all began to play into it.
even the cops.

It was a great funny night.
about a hundred people were all in hysterics.
I always wonder what the bartender must have thought.

The main actor was Martin Sheen, and the title might be "Gunned Down". but it was a low B film. Sometimes, I can find it on Youtube, or somewhere.

I'm sorry, really. Everything's so political nowadays. Poetry should be a place for more than just political drudgery. It may have a place, but only a place; it should be also much more - (IMHO). I didn't mean to step on your creative heart. Weez kool, think of that previous comment I had as nothing but a piece of old gum stuck on the bottom of a desk - not worth chewing

Plus
My poetry is no good.
I know that and it makes me feel no good.

I have got to work on my rhymes
and rhythm, and chimes.
And content times.

I have strong feelings about economics
and about politiconomics
Like reading my very best favorite comics.

Poetry gives me an
escape from my plan
People don't understan

So they don't know what i said
But know what they read
and it all seeps right into their head.

No one has banned me
for bad poetry yet, see?
They are so uncertain, about what I be.

Don't you want activity?

I hear ya, c.paw. I'm with u with a little bit of impromptu encouragement to help u get off that political couch that's so comfortable, so .. strip down, run out of the house naked and streak thur ur neighborhood backyards. Get yourself a new perspective besides politics.
Watch out for the dogs and let me know how it goes
