Resizing An Attachment or Avatar Image

When a avatar is too large to upload you will receive the following error message.

There are a lot of web sites that can be used to resize images. Paint can also be used. I'm going to show you an example of one website here, but most will have a similar process. The website I use to resize images is https://www.befunky.com/create/resize-image/

Click on open at the top of the screen and select the image from your computer you want to resize.

Click on resize.

make sure the lock aspect ratio check box is checked.

For avatars setting the box for the largest pixle size to 90 should be good enough for most images.

For attachments, it will depend on the size of your file. The storage limit n this site is 250KiB. Play around with the settings to see what gives you the file size you would like.
