If you post from mobile then your IP changes constantly.
Depends on the country. In the us we don't use carrier level NAT most IPs even on cell phones are mostly consistent, unless you are jumping on and off different wi-fi connections. So I guess the real answer is, it's complicated.
I know Verizon has a block of IPs they assign for cellular connections that change regularly but yeah, different WiFi connections will obviously use different IPs.

Nellie started a thread/room/discussion on the topic....

If that works.

Appropriately enough, Disqus went belly up in the middle of a good discussion of psychoactive fungi I was having with Biggus Dickus on the farewell thread.πŸ„πŸ˜Ž

So be it...RIP.

A moment of silence...πŸ™

(.......)

This rig has you posting this sometime later this evening...

But, re-opening the page fixes that.
Odd.

And the topic was moist appropriate!

I figured it would take a bit of time to get everything organized just so... we'll get there. Thanks again for the work you've done here.
Exactly. And thank you.
I wasn't expecting miracles, just pointing it out. I'd just like to be able to sort by topic date and I'm surprised that's not the default. The other forum I'm involved with gives you eight different ways to sort topics. Last Post, Newest Topic, Most Replies, Least Replies, Number of Views, Title, Rating, and Who Started it.

I just think it would be convenient and most Disqus like to sort by time/date the topic was started. Of course you can limit it to a date range, but that's less flexible.

Thank you for your hard work!

Apparently in any given room you can't sort by newest topic. If you sort by "post date" it sorts the topics by who most recently posted in them. I'd like to be able to sort by which topic was most recently opened. That should be possible, and I'm shocked that it isn't on out of the box.
I had some time to breathe tonight and it looks like there is an extension that might add this feature. I'll need to put in in test first and see how it works, but it looks like it adds more sort options, including "topic date" which should be the date of the first post.

Cool. Don't hurry on my account though. Just keep this on life support for a while. We'll figure it out.

It's not a hurry. Extensions are easy. The things that are going to take a while are the things that don't exist yet. For instance, I've already installed it in test and it seems to work. I'll test it a bit tomorrow and we will go from there.

You have more gumption than I got tonight. I watched a movie, and now I'm falling asleep. I need to work on another project but I just don't feel like it. I'm still learning QCAD so it's a lot more effort than it should be.

QCAD is the most like AutoCAD that I've used of the free CAD programs. A lot of people really like FreeCAD, but it's a 3D CAD program and its commands aren't very intuitive. I had similar problems with LibreCAD, although it's a 2D CAD program like QCAD. I like using Google Sketchup and it's really intuitive, but it doesn't export files for the lasers that I'll be using to cut these parts. I need .dwg or .dxf files. You can export from Sketchup, but you get really crappy files that don't burn well. Now if only QCAD had drawing tools like Adobe Illustrator...

Some of us are still talking over there. You can reply to comments made to you and if someone has an open profile you can find one of their comments and start talking. Someone said it is a bit like using tin cans and a string.

This thread isn't on the Awkolytes Anonymous list of topics. I'm afraid potential commenters may not be able to find it. Once I clicked away, I could re-locate it only by checking my history.
Oh, I see. It's in the HOA Meeting Place house, not AwkAnon.

Nope. My Disqus account is still active for use on other sites that still use it, but I can't access any of the old AA or any other sites.

Yeah; I figured.

That will get me in, even now, to the last Thread of AA.

We have a dozen, still in the trenches, conversing in real time.
So far.

Tweaking their nose, we are.

Huhaah!
